My Top 5 Lipsticks for Autumn/Winter

dscn1467

So recently I have been particularly obsessed with lipsticks. In my case this means going to Superdrug every Friday and spending more money on makeup than on my groceries. I have a problem. But it also means that I found some really amazing lipsticks in colours that are perfect for autumn and that I will definitely continue wearing during winter time as well. I thought I would show you my top 5 lipsticks to give you some makeup inspiration. And if you are looking for new lipsticks then you will already know that these ones are really good!

So here are some swatches of all five lipsticks to give you an overview, and then I will write down the names and exact colours separately. (The order is the same as in the first picture!)

  1. Rimmel: The Only One Matte Lipstick – 200 Salute

This is probably the lipstick that I have been using the most. It is the perfect blush-nude matte colour, and the most longlasting lipstick I’ve used so far. It will stay on your lips for hours and hours, you might only need to reapply a little bit after you’ve eaten, but that is true for all lipsticks. So it is perfect for long days at work or uni. Also, this one smells incredible! To me, all lipsticks smell nice, but this one is especially lovely!

2. Maybelline: Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick – 50 Nude Thrill

This one is a really nice, bit more orange/brown-ish nude. It feels amazing on the lips, very soft and moisturizing. The only bad thing about this is that after you put it on you need to remove the excess to make it matte. But it is very longlasting and I absolutely love it!

3. Rimmel: The Only One Lipstick – 700 Naughty Nude

This one is a bit darker nude, and also a more pink-blush kind of colour. I know, four out of five of my favourite lipsticks are from Rimmel, but it is literally the only brand that I completely trust when it comes to lipsticks. I just love all of their colours and the quality is very good. And this new line called The Only One contains the most gorgeous lipsticks!

4. Rimmel: The Only One Lipstick – 800 Under My Spell

I have been looking for a berry-coloured lipstick, and when I came across this one I couldn’t resist it! I think the colour is absolutely gorgeous, and the lipstick feels very light-weight, not thick or sticky at all. You can’t even feel it on your lips, which is a good thing for me when it comes to darker colours. Perfect for autumn and also winter, I will definitely be wearing this colour, if not every day then every weekend at least!

5. Rimmel: Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick – 30

I’ve had this lipstick since last autumn, and I have been loving it since then! I do not wear this everyday as it is quite dramatic, but I think it’s perfect around the christmas time when you don’t really want to go for the bright red but rather dark burgundy kind of colour. I also bought a lipliner to go with this, and I would recommend you to do the same if you are not 100% comfortable with putting on dark lipsticks. Remember: practice makes perfect! 😉

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post! Let me know what lipsticks are your favourites for autumn/winter time, I’d love to know! Also let me know if you would like to see more posts like this in the future because I love doing them!

Tomorrow is the 1st of December! Who’s excited for opening advent calendars and watching Vlogmas videos every day? I definitely am 🙂 Hope you all have a lovely couple of weeks leading up to Christmas!

A Festive Day in London

Last Saturday me and my best friend decided to visit London and pretend to be tourists. As I haven’t done any vlogs since I was traveling in the summer I missed vlogging so much! So I decided to use this opportunity and film a nice festive vlog for you guys 🙂

We arrived in London just after midday and after we both bought a Gingerbread Latte from Starbucks at Victoria Station we made our way towards Buckingham Palace. We always do this “tourist-walk” as I like to call it: after seeing the palace we went through St James’s Park and found the Big Ben with the London Eye, then we headed towards Trafalgar Square.

Of course, as all the tourists do, we had to take some pictures at the most iconic spots! Here’s a little comparison of me in London now and exactly one year ago (because I love recreating old photos!) (also, I really miss my long hair) :

I still do not know how, but we also managed to finally take the picture that I wanted of me for years! Me standing in the little tunnel opposite Big Ben. Everytime I went there it was so crowded that it was just impossible to take a photo of me alone without any other tourists, and we almost gave up now as well after standing there for approximately half an hour waiting for one person (!!!) to take a picture. But as we were about to leave… suddenly the tourists have disappeared for a couple of moments, and we quickly took the photos. We were so lucky! I can’t even believe it. And here’s the iconic photo that will probably remain my profile picture on Facebook for at least a year:

How amazing is that?

(Can you spot the cheeky seagull? I would’ve been surprised if none of them had decided to ruin my perfect picture. I can still see myself sitting  on Brighton Beach eating my fish and chips without the fish. Since then I am at war with every seagull in the world.)

After this, we continued our sightseeing tour at Baker Street, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Soho, Leicester Square and Covent Garden.

I love going to London in the festive season, the Christmas lights are amazing and the atmosphere of the city is incredibly exciting. I wouldn’t recommend going on a Saturday evening though, especially not during Black Friday weekend, as it was very VERY crowded. But that was kind of expected, and I think it also just added to the excitement of the day. I think my favourite part was Oxford Street because the huge shops are very exciting for me (you don’t see shops like these in Hungary, that’s for sure!) and that’s also the place where they go all out on the Christmas lights. It was just amazing!

I just had the best day ever at my happy place with one of my favourite people! I hope you will all enjoy the vlog as well as my little additional stories in this blog post. Let me know what you think in the comments! Would you like to go visit London in the festive season or would you rather avoid the crowd? What other cities do you like visiting before Christmas?

Hope you all have a great day and are getting as excited for Christmas as I am!

Xx
